A Water War Birthday Party

My son decided that for his birthday this year he wanted to hold a water war. It's the perfect time for it - mid-January in Durban gets stinking hot. We set up a refill point with a huge bucket of water, filled up the paddling pool and a bunch of water balloons, gave each boy a water pistol and set them at it. Three hours of hilarity followed, and the afternoon ended with our back yard (including all the snacks and all the towels) absolutely soaked and full of happy, tired little boys. Very little effort gave us lots of reward. I thought I'd share a couple of pics of the snack table before it fell victim to the water guns.
